Tax increases in Malaysia? – Update – Yep, from today

This article http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/opinion/2013/08/17/three-hits-on-rakyats-pockets/  suggests November as the date for a raft of new / increased taxes.

1. increase in the price of RON95 petrol;

2. increase in electricity tariffs; and

3. implementation of GST (Goods & Services Tax).

UPDATE

From midnight (12.01 on 03.09.2013) the government raised the price  for both RON95 petrol and diesel by 20-sen.
